As parents of two children, we decided to ask for the help of Patrizia, a homeopath, to strengthen their overall immune system (help with colds and infections) and enhance their overall development.
Homeopathy is used to treat a variety of ailments. To start with, the homeopath will go through a list of questions, sometimes seemingly unrelated to the main condition (fears, dreams, temperature preferences for example), with the parents/child to then come up with a treatment plan.
Once the remedy is administered (often in the form of small pills or liquids), the parents should take notes on any physical or emotional changes the child experiences (over a period of weeks) to provide further feedback to the homoeopath to either adjust the remedy's dosage or potency, or chose another one.
Personally, our children responded very well to the remedies under acute situations such as high fever or ear pain in the space of a few hours. More importantly, our children have suffered from fewer infections.
Some treatments went 'deeper', working on their constitution, i.e. incorporating their physical, emotional and mental make-up. One example was focusing on our child's speech development which improved dramatically within a couple of weeks. Another case was our child’s hearing impairment, which improved within a few months (tested regularly by an audiologist), preventing having to undertake invasive healthcare treatments.
It is also worth noting, given how homeopathy works, we did witness symptoms worsen in the short term, sometimes only a few hours and then disappear, as part of the healing process.
Finally, in some instances, Patrizia was also able to couple homeopathy with Pranic Healing as it is gentle and provides quick relief.
